May

It's May already?!?! Which means it's less than a month till graduation and until I leave Cornell! D: Every so often I get spurts of nostalgia about leaving Cornell and just think about how 4 years flew by sooooo quickly. But anyway, I didn't go to any classes today, partially cause it was raining and I didn't want to walk across campus. 30% chance yeah right. I thought I'd be fine in flip flops and shorts without an umbrella, and it rains... It also got really chilly and I was not dressed for the right weather.. At CUAUV's meeting I got the graduation cord, didn't know I was gonna get one so it was a surprise. Kinda confused at first too, but yay for bling during graduation! Heh. After the meeting I got to Rhodes by like 6, and didn't leave until 12:30... This project is such a killer, but almost done! Then we're free!!

Last full week of undergrad classes over! :O Kind of weird thinking of it like that.. Anyway, I woke up to do these research studies around campus for money and made $10 in the morning. One of them was just eat pretzels and rate them haha. Then I was really productive in Duffield for 2 hours working on Spreadsheets project, and then after I got most of it I went to play lacrosse on the engineering quad with Sally, Steve, and Tiffany. Wasn't too sunny, but still a pretty nice day to be outside. Not sure what I did the rest of the afternoon, probably bummed and chilled, but then went to Goldwin Smith to pick up our free Holi shirts! Went to Spicy Asian with Tiffany after and it was yummy yummy! We tried to eat quickly to make it to the ukulele concert at Willard Straight and it was actually pretty good. Stayed for an hour or so, and then went upstairs to see A-Zero do their battle thing, and then went to Hope Night to get some food and play video games haha. Pretty much my Friday! It was such a happy day. :)

Holi today! My first time doing Holi and it was really fun! Everyone was match - black shorts and white top, and paint was thrown eeeeeeverywhere. We were all so colorful and our faces were all covered in paint as well. Met up with a bunch of people on the Arts Quad and just threw paint at each other haha. Got home and took a nice colorful shower and felt so clean afterwards. Decided very last minute to go to CVA's cultural show, Cafe Saigon, and it was really good! Their show was very well put together, lots of singing, and the food was catered from Saigon Kitchen! Dinner was so delicious, and the owner of Saigon Kitchen actually sat at our table. He's like he doesn't want to eat because he eats this everyday lol. Oh and the pretty flowers near Olin Library!

This has been such a wonderful weekend! Today I woke up early for the last CUAUV outreach for the semester! A bunch of 6th graders from Rochester came down to visit the team and ask our advice for their LEGO robots. They were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable it's pretty amazing. It was fun and then at the team meeting there was a surprise slideshow for the seniors. Had to make an impromptu speech which I suck at, but it was bittersweet. No more general team meetings after today. Then the Business/PR team went to Saigon and another surprise! The team got the 3 seniors random gifts and I got a backscratcher. LOL. The other people got a photo frame and leopard print socks. Glad I didn't get the socks... Gonna miss the team and all the fun times we had this semester. Kind of crazy to think of how everything's coming to an end and it's the 'lasts' for so many things :(. Anyway, at night we went to John Thomas as a pre-graduation celebration. The food was delicious and I was so stuffed after. Asked the waiter to take a photo for us, but not sure what she did it came out kind of funky... Now the weekend's over, just 3 more days until I'm done with undergrad classes! :O

Hmm... last week of classes, and I didn't go to any of my classes haha. Instead of spreadsheets class I went with Tiffany to her anatomy class. So many big words that I don't understand... And Tiffany, Kelly, etc.. all of them just chat through iMessage and play with each other lecture! lol. Had lunch at Sage and then went to get Slope Day wristbands, but apparently you have to keep it on till Slope Day! So nope, gonna get it from Casc on like Wednesday. Watched TV and bummed the afternoon, and then went to the gym and jogged. Felt nice jogging since it was pretty sunny out. Tried something new for dinner by making pork katsu with curry and noodle, actually better than I thought haha. After dinner, I began my night in Rhodes working on the Spreadsheets project. Our goal was to stay up tonight until we finish, but we didn't, but we did get pretty far! Had 3 bottles of wines and just casually drank in Rhodes while working on the project. Nbd. Left campus at 3:30, and when I got home I felt uneasy because I was in the middle of doing something, so stayed up till 5 to wrap it up.

So sunny today! I was so tired the entire morning because I didn't get too much sleep. After work ChuCu and I got free pizza and Duffield and then I decided to come home since I had so much time until Human Bonding. Took a 30 minute nap and it felt sooooo good. In Human Bonding we just answered student questions, which were more applicable than the stuff she taught about. Pretty interesting for the first half hour or so and then I just left lol. Got half-priced frap with ChuChu and Tiffany! Since it was so nice today we sat outside Casc and just talked for like half an hour. Dangled our legs off the ledge and people watched everyone walking by heh. Dinner at Saigon so yummy! And then the rest of the night just bumming. Now that Spreadsheets is done I'm pretty much done with everything. :O

Last day of classes. Pretty crazy actually, last undergrad class at Cornell. Handed in my last OR project this morning and it was a huge relief, no more projects. Ate with ChuChu at Sage and had a good conversation about the future and all the possibilities. Had wines today and we had a 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon that's $187 per bottle. If no one told me I probably couldn't tell that it was expensive lol. After wines met up with Jason and Lindsey at CTB to celebrate the 4 projects we've done together in OR. From Entrepreneurship to Design of Manufacturing to Simulations and to Spreadsheets, we were all in the same group. Then grabbed dinner with Tiffany at Spicy Asian it was delicious. Baked cake for Ying at Casc and chilled with drunk people at my apartment. Just bummed at home instead of going out afterwards since Slope Day is in a couple of hours. Wheeee! Sleep early, wake up early and drink early. Slope Day leggo! :D

Slope Day 2014!! The weather turned out to be so nice and sunny even though this morning the floor were still wet from the rain last night. Ate breakfast with ChuChu and Tiffany in Casc - eggs and sausage bagel haha. And then started relatively early drinking and hanging out in my apartment. A lot more people came eventually and we continued for a bit more before heading to the slope. Right outside my apartment, I had Sally on my shoulders, but we fell and we both got scratches and bruises haha. Matt and Kim opened first and they were really good! We stayed in the middle and didn't go up that front. Kelly died lol. Ludacris came on and it was pretty good too! Definitely better than Kendrick last year. The concert ended around 4ish and everyone just migrated back to collegetown. Took a nap and then got Panera and froyo it was so delicious. Was too tired to go out afterwards. But it was an awesome last Slope Day and everything turned out prettttty nicely :). And omg the crazy lightning/thunder storm kept disturbing my sleep..

Sentimental day today. Woke up to a really gross apartment, so I just stayed in my room to avoid the mess. Had the end-of-the-year luncheon with the Career Office and the food was so yummy - Wegman's catering. Been looking forward to this for a few days and I was so satisfied. It was sad cause 6 out of 10 of us are graduating. We got lots of advice for post-graduation and everyone telling us to stop by and visit if we're ever on campus. They also gave the graduating seniors graduation gifts! A gratitude journal, pen, picture frame and maple syrup to remember Cornell by. After all of that, went to watch Neighbors in theaters. Not bad, but I could've just watched it regularly on my computer. Stopped by CKB's carnival afterwards and raced in the giant blow-up balloon obstacle course and played on other balloon structures. Pretty fun! Kinda like what we did freshmen year. Came back to the apartment to do some massive cleaning and now it's actually pretty neat! Then went to CUAUV's team dinner at Miyake's and saw everyone for one (last) time perhaps? But it was good getting together again. Then just bummed the rest of the night.

Today's weather was so nice! Woke up to go to Ithaca's Farmer's Market at 11. First time there and I really liked it! There's a bunch of different types of food there and random booths selling snacks. Sally and I split a Cambodian rice dish and gyro they were delicious, especially since we were hungry. Then just got lemonades and chilled by the piers over Cayuga Lake. Dipped our toes in the water and just hung out in the sun for a bit. Then in the afternoon I took my OR class photo on the Slope. Nothing too special but it'll be nice to get the class photo with the diploma. Then a few of us just played sports on the arts quad for 3 hours.. Football and soccer, and then played a game of football it was so tiring. So much running and sweating. Came home to shower and took a nice nap haha. Kind of studied for the rest of the night and just bumming at home.

Happy Mother's Day!! :) Woke up pretty early today for a haircut.. at 10:30 lol. And then went to Ithaca Beer Company for lunch. Delicious as usual, and then we played sports in the big field they had there. Probably spent 2-3 hours there before the sun was to strong and we were too hot, so came back home. I have a pretty distinct tank tan line now... Then around sunset we went to Stewart Park to watch the sunset since the weather was soooo nice today. Got there like half an hour before the sun went down and just sat on a big piece of rock by the water. Then when the sun went down, we went to the docks and dangled our legs off the docks and chilled there for a bit. It was so much fun taking picture of silhouettes and making random poses/words with the shadow. heh. It was so relaxing and kind of felt bittersweet since we'll be graduating in just two weeks. :/

First final this morning! It was pretty easy, the majority of the questions were recycled from prelim questions so I got all of those. So yay for passing Human Bonding! Went the the gym and a jog afterwards and it was sooo hot. It was 80 degrees and sunny when I jogged, but it felt pretty nice. After showering, I walked to Mann to print a poster for CUAUV (it was so hot and so far), and then back to Upson, and then at with Tiffany at Libe. Was gonna go home but decided to study wines in Sage because there's AC haha. Eventually I wandered home and took a much needed nap. Then grabbed dinner at Nasties on North with ChuChu (yay for last minute plans!). We split a southwest sandwich (Oh how I've missed this) and buffalo wings. Such fatasses, I can never eat healthy around her... Now gonna watch a movie - Like Crazy! The trailer looked really good!

The weather turned out to be super hot today instead of thunderstorming! Had lunch with Deborah and kinda caught up, and spent the afternoon bumming and napping at home because it was too hot to do anything. Then Sally, Steve and I went to the mini waterfalls behind Rhodes and just chilled by the water with beers. We ventured out to dip our feet in the water and Steve slipped twice, and fell in the water and got soaked haha. Then had fun feeding these two ducks Cheezits, entertained us for a good hour. After dinner, we went to Stewart Park to see the sunset again, and ChuChu came along too since she's done! It was pretty cloudy today so it wasn't as nice, but we were more active. We made friends with like 10 ducks by feeding them Cheezits and they kept flocking back to us. We also took transparent photos of us with the lake in the background. And in the distance it started to thunder and lightning and the lightnings looked so cool! Got back home just before it started to pour. :)

Very eventful and active day today! Got lunch with Tiffany at Chipotle and then went to Stewart Park to study, or attempted to. We laid on the grass by a tree and it was sooo comfortable. There was also this bulldog that kept coming to us and it sounds so out of breath. It went in the water and chewed on branches and came back out shaking off all the water, heh so cute! We headed back on campus early because there was no studying done... Then Sally, Steve, ChuChu, Mui and I went to Ezra's Cave and the waterfall under Stewart Ave Bridge. It's where the graffitis are when you look down from the bridge. We dipped our feet in the water there for a bit. Then went further down West to another waterfall, and spent more time there. We waddled through the shallow water and found a dry log to sit on, and just derped around there. Got froyo and snacks at Noyes, delicious, and then came back home. Such an adventurous day!

Took my last undergrad final this morning!! Finished wines in an hour and now I'm done with undergrad! :O Kind of a relief but also pretty scary. Then the adventure begins! Went to Syracuse with Sally, Steve, ChuChu, Matt, Toshi, and Mui, mainly for ChuChu to pee in a cup for her drug test. But we also stopped by World of Beer and had a couple of beers. Then made a scavenger hunt and we ran around the mall taking pictures. Went on the carousel too, we were the only people on it.. lol. The person checking the tickets were just looking at us and laughing. Then walked by TGIF and saw a 2-for-1 deal, so we decided to get 4 drinks. But.... the waiter understood it as get 4 drinks, and get 4 more drinks for free since it's 2-for-1. So the 7 of us ended up with 8 drinks... but we finished them anyway and then went to Dino BBQ! Picture is of the beer selection at Dino BBQ. Sooooooo much food I was so bloated on the car ride back and I'm still so stuffed right now. Took a midnight stroll to 7-11 with ChuChu and Andrew to get fruits and just chatted for a bit. Fun fun day. :)

Today was an awesomeness-filled day! Grabbed lunch with Kevin on West, caught up since we don't go to the gym together anymore. Then came home and after I showered it was already 2! Went to check out Lambrou's storage space with ChuChu. It was in the attic of one of the apartments and it felt kinda creepy going up the stairs. Then met up with Andrew and walked alll the way on campus just to get a free drink, but so worth it. Then came back and we bummed in ChuChu's room for a bit talking about a bunch of random stuff. Then decided, why not, let's go to Wegman's to get cheese! So got cheese, sausage, and a 3-foot long loaf of bread... And also got a bottle of Vinho Verde from Northside, for wine, cheese and movie night! Came back made some jello, which we forgot to eat.. And then ChuChu and Andrew went to their dinner plans and I made... dumplings. Delicious. Andrew ditched us for movie, so ChuChu and I watched Zodiac, a movie based on the true unsolved murder case. It was so long but it was really good, and was pretty accurate in terms of factual stuff. The best part was the cheese and wine. Such a good idea - smoked gouda cheese, sausage, bread, and Portugal wine. I was so satisfied. We ended up finishing the entire bottle... lol. I love unplanned days filled with random impromptu ideas!

Went to Farmer's Market again today! But it was soo cold so we didn't stay too long. I got the breakfast burrito, delicious, and the spinach crepe which was alright. Went for a jog in the afternoon and then went on a mission to find Nancy's birthday present! Went to Walmart with ChuChu and Andrew and just picked out the most random things. Saw fruits, so got her a pineapple because she bought one last year and couldn't cut it, so brought it home. Then got her a watermelon because it's just as hard to cut. Then went to the toy section and got her this fuzzy jiggly fur ball animal that moves, so cute! Debating whether to get her a scooter or skateboard, but decdied against it. Also got her a Minion "Banana" shirt hehe. It's a good mix of troll and real gifts. Oh and instead of a happy birthday balloon, we got a "It's a Boy!" balloon. I don't know why ChuChu agreed to all my outrageous ideas.. Then we were going to get dinner, but it was still too early so we went to Cass Park and played at the playground. It's actually really nice and we also climbed a tree! Dinner with ChuChu and Andrew at Joe's, it was pretty good and we were so stuffed. So went to Stewart Park, again, for a stroll and ended up playing at the park there.. Got really dizzy from the spinny stuff, and then finally came home and I watched the movie Short Term 12. Emotionally-intense, not a bad movie. Then Tiffany, ChuChu, and Andrew surprised Nancy at Casc at midnight! But our plan was foiled by a particular person, but whatever Nancy was still happy anyway! :)

Woke up so early today to get breakfast with Christine since she was going home. Got up at 8:30, but then we pushed breakfast back to 10 so I slept for another hour. Drove up to Appel and we got food, yum dining hall food. Then just hung out in Dickson for a bit just chatting, about all sorts of random stuff. Surfed on the push carts through the hallways hehe. Came back home and then went for a jog because it was sunny out! Jogged around Beebe Lake and went to Newman for an hour, very productive. Then Toshi, ChuChu and I decided to explore Ithaca a little bit, so we went to Ithaca College to see what it's like there lol. It's actually pretty nice and there's lots of open green space. Maybe I'm too used to Cornell and I'm tired of it, but IC's campus looks nicer and happier... They have a fountain on campus! Then wen to Cass Park again and I tried to take a dandelion photo, but it didn't quite work as well. Got dinner with Sisi and Kevin on West since I'm not sure when I'll see them next. :/ Hopefully some time in the summer before I go to DC. Had a long dinner with good chats :) Then went to the Nines for a pitcher with the OR group, talked about our undergrad careers and about Cornell in general and about life after graduation. D: Bummed at home for a bit and then went to Chapter House with a few people. Took a Chapter House and Woodchuck pint glass. :D

Woke up early to help Kevin and Sisi move stuff from West to Lambrou's storage area. Filled the entire car with boxes and bins and moved it into the attic of the apartment above Miyake's. Then went for a jog and gym, and then had some down time at home. Watched Stuck in Love and it was soooo good. It was about a divorced family and each family member had their own problems with love, and the movie was about how they each dealt with it. Really good movie about family and love. Then went to Cass Park with Sally, Mui and Toshi to play at the playground and climb trees. Then wandered to Farmer's Market. It's so empty without the market and we chilled by the docks for a bit. Then at night Kevin, Lucy and Eunice came over and we just drank and played games at my apartment. Casually drank and played pong games. Played a new game called beer ball, pretty much just chugging beer and it does not feel comfortable. Pretty chill and laid back night. :)

Woke up so tired from last night, but managed to get up somewhat early at 9:30. Grabbed lunch with Ying and Steven before they all go home cause I don't know if I'll have time to see them in the city over the summer. Hopefully I will! Ate at Cafe Jennie and it was delicious, wish I ate there more often throughout the semester. Then chilled at CTB with a few people for a while as they ate, nothing too exciting, and then came home for a quick nap! Said bye to Andrew at Casc as he went home for the summer, hopefully I'll see him in the city as well. Came home to bum a little bit until a bunch of us drove to RPCC to finish up our BRBs. Got so much snacks and also got dinner there too. I got down to 43 cents, hehe, and couldn't find anything else to buy with that amount. After dinner I passed out on Sally's bed for a while until we got up to start drinking for the Senior Rave at Barton. Played a new style of pong, where you drink for every shot you miss. So much motivation to get it in lol. The rave was pretty lame I thought, didn't really have much fun there and I was just so tired and wanted to leave. Talked with ChuChu outside Casc for a bit afterwards until it got too cold and we went home.

Unappreciative people. Cannot deal.

Crazy day today. Woke up for a light jog and then went on Shah and Ankai's surprise wine tour! They had no idea and were just pushed on the bus it was great. First winery was Sanding Stone, and it was alright. It was rainy so it wasn't the best. Second one was Ventosa and it was pretty good. We did the tasting and then bought a bottle of white to drink there. Then from there on... the drunkeness begins. On the bus to the third winery, Cayuga Ridge?, we were all so rowdy and singing all these random songs on the bus. I had to pee so badly and so there were like 4 other people sitting on top of me the whole ride. At the third one we all drank a lot as well and took a giant group photo. Had a 415 College Ave photo and a Stuy photo! Before heading back to campus, we stopped by this small park? And cut Shah and Ankai's cake. By then everyone was pretty drunk and I somehow managed to hang upside down on a tree branch. I remembered I almost slipped... It was a fun fun day with a lot of awesome people. Now I'm just so exhausted from a day full of drinking and laughing.

Super super fun day today! Woke up and there were so many people in the apartment since the sophomores stayed in the apartment as well. Went to Stewart Park for the BBQ, but it started raining an hour in... But at the park Sally, Steve and I made a friend! She was this 5 year old and asked us to play tag with her on the playground, which was just follow the leader, following her. We migrated back to Stephen's porch to continue the BBQ and it was great! Had burgers and veges and just chilled by the porch. The weather turned out to be really sunny afterwards haha. I was able to use my remote release app on my phone to take so many group pictures. Best app. Then we went to Stewart Park to play at the playgrounds and some sports, then went to Dickson courts to play sand volleyball. Played for 4 Lokos... lol. It was fun! Then Sally, Alvin, Eefine and I got dinner at Souvlaki and now we're about to pregame for Matt's party tonight. :D

Woke up relatively early today to get breakfast at CTB withe eeeveryone. The sophomores and pretty much the 305 apartments. The sophomores surprised us and gave us all senior gifts - superlatives! It's a picture frame of each of us individually with the superlative and decorations on it. Very sweet :D. Then I went to Career Office to take senior photos with all the graduating peer advisors. Took a bunch and they turned out pretty good. It was fun throwing our caps up in the air, even though it's not even graduation yet haha. Then I packed almost everything in my room so now it looks so empty, and then we went to see Sally's DNS graduation! It was in Bailey and there were several spearkers, student and faculty speakers, and then all 177 graduates walked across the stage. We cheered the loudest for Sally! :D Then the food afterwards was delicious, but it was freezingggg so we left quickly to come back home. Packed some more and then went to Saigon for dinner! Yums. Then everyone napped and we played pong, but Saigon made us all so sleepy it's so dead haha.

Convocation! Went to Schoellkopf at 11 to get seats to listen to a bunch of people speak. The student speakers were alright, but Ed Helms was good! Gave advice on being a fool in life and not being afraid of trying new things. It was a mix of jokes and seriousness which I liked. Then a bunch of us went to the Farmers Market and the pizza was delicious! The weather was also super nice so we dipped our feet in the water and chilled by the piers. Came back for a much needed nap. Went to Taughannock Park because a bunch of people were there for a picnic and had extra pizza. It's soooo pretty there at sunset and we dipped our feet in the water and just chilled by the water. Also opened a bottle of Rosa Regale to celebrate the end of four amazing years. It was so nice seeing everyone there together, talking, hanging out, and just being in the same place. Everyone's so busy during the semester it's almost impossible to have all of us together. Then at night we had a party at my apartment and celebrated Matt's birthday party. We all drank more than we expected, and all had to wake up fairly early for graduation the next day....

Commencement! We graduated!! So scary how four years just gone by like that and now we're done with Cornell. Had to wake up so early because my family got to campus earlier than I expected, and then entertained them until we walked to Arts Quad to get ready to march to the field. It was hooooooot. Super sunny in the black gown = no good. The number of people in Schoellkopf was overwhelming. The entireeeee stadium was filled and there were sooooo many students going onto the field. The commencement itself was actually quite boring, just listened to President D. J. Skorts talk and then he officially conferred us our degrees. No cap throwing. :( Then we went to our respective major graduations and ORIE was in Sage Chapel! Professor Schmoys and Jackson gave speeches and then called us up one by one. It wasn't that interesting, just standard stuff walked up, shook hands, and took photos. Afterwards there was food but it was so hot I didn't eat that much. Then the photos begin... Took a bunch of photo with family on Ho Plaza until everyone else came and we just took photos for an hour or two. Many derp photos. I got hit 3 times when we took the cap throwing photos.. Super exhausted and super hot being in the sun, but photos are obligatory. Gonna go to watch the sunrise later tonight/tomorrow morning and light sky lanterns. Last night at Cornell before going back to NYC and off the D.C. D: Can't ask for anyone else better to graduate with. :)

Last day/night at Cornell. It was such a long day because we all did an all nighter to watch the sunrise. So we went to Walmart to find firewood but they didn't have, so Steve and I got a shopping cart full of cardboard ready to make a fire. While there, I found one of those electric scooter/carts and rode it around the parking lot. I've always wanted to ride one and now I finally did it right before leaving Cornell! They're so fun but so slow! Went to Taughannock Park at around 1 in the morning and started a fire in the grill. Robert killed a huge branch to use as fire. But then the park ranger came and kicked us out. :( So off we went to Stewart Park! But right when we all got out of the car a Popo came and kicked us out. So off we went to Libe Slope! We made camp with our cardboard boxes on the floor and ate snacks and listened to music. It was so relaxing and we ended up all lying down just chatting for hours. Definitely looked like hobos with cardboard boxes and blankets/snuggies, and we were all in sweats with socks and flip flops haha. The Cornell popo even came and chatted with us, we probably looked ridiculous. At 4, we went back to Taughannock to light sky lanterns! We lit a few and watched them float up over Cayuga Lake and then waited for the sunrise. It was really pretty and we just all sat there and hung out. This photo was one of the many we took and everyone is doing something ridiculous. We're like one big dysfunctional family. When we left we had to say some goodbyes because some of us were leaving campus today it was so sad. :( It was like a farewell until next time we see each other whenever that is, but it will happen!! Then we went to McDonald's for breakfast and we were all exhaussssssted. Came home and passed out for 4 hours until I woke up to clean/pack my room and pack the car. Wasn't as hard saying goodbye to the 305 gang since we're all gonna see each other in a few weeks to hang out and because I'm not worried about not seeing them. The drive back home was exhausting, but finally got back to New York City. Still kind of in shock that I'll no longer be going back to Ithaca in August and that the I won't be returning to the place I called home for the past 4 years. I feel much more comfortable in Ithaca than I do in my own room in NYC. It was an amazing 4 years at Cornell and now on to new adventures!

Chloeeee! She's still kinda unfamiliar with me since I was at school most of the time after she was born, but she's warming up to me. Played with her for a while today and now she comes looking for me and asking me to play with her hehe. So adorbs. Woke up still soooo tired this morning, and went to the city with Ranice and Deborah. Got Bau Haus, still don't think it's all that special, and then Jamba Juice later, which was delicious! Roamed around Union Square area for a bit, and I realized that I really miss the nature-y stuff in Ithaca. The past few weeks I've been doing so much outdoorsy/nature-y activities they're actually really fun and relaxing. Came home and ate grandma-cooked meal, my favorite - bambo shoots from Taiwan. Nom nom yums. After dinner met up with a friend before she leaves for work in Denver and walked around Forest Hills. It's changed so much since middle school and the whole atmosphere feels different. And now bumming at home and it's sooo hot.

Today was so cold! Slept in a tank and it was so cold when I woke up. Grandma woke me up and said they're going to Flushing to walk around, and I was like okay I'll go too and take them around. So drove to Sky View for free parking and walked around Flushing. We ate at this restaurant that my grandpa said has really good meat over rice. He knows Flushing better than I do... It was pretty good! Then we went supermarket shopping, oh and I went to get a haircut. Lost them for like 10 minutes and I walked around trying to find them, luckily I did! In the afternoon I went out with Ranice for a bit and hung out around Fresh Meadows. Found out that I have a Starbucks reward for a free drink, so I got a venti caramel frap. :) Came home and played with my nieces for a little bit before heading to LIC Piers to hang out with ChuChu before she leaves for the midwest (Ohio). It was pretty cloudy and kinda chilly but still a fun adventure nonetheless. We decided to take a bunch of photos using my tripod and remote shutter and it was so tiring taking this one. Too much work hanging upside down. Then said bye to her at the train station, but not too sad about leaving because I know it won't be hard seeing her later on. Have fun in the middle of nowhere for 2 months!

Family day today! Went to Long Island to visit my momm and it was such a beautiful day! Also played around with Evelyn and Chloe while we were there, and it's so fun running with Chloe. She seems like a dog the way I'm talking about her... Anyway, had Kotobuki for lunch, a Japanese restaurant and the sushi and sashimi was very yummy. Major food coma on the drive back I was soooo tired. Didn't do much for the rest of the day. Looked into Arlington apartments with Susan because she visited today, and they're all so expensive! It's like NYC prices! Ridiculous. Made a spreadsheet to see how much each month's rent + utilities would be and it's quite high. :( But I'm pretty excited though, they all look really nice and it seems like it'll be a fun time! Then started packing for the cruiseeee. :O In 2 days!!! And the photo is of 3 hanging pictures frames I made for Tiffany for her to put on her wall at Cornell when I'm not there! :D

Last day before heading off on the cruise! It was an entire day with Tiffanyyy. Got lunch at 86th Street area, baked cheese over rice yummidelicious. Then we went to Red Hook to explore the stuff around there. We've been meaning to go there since winter break but stuff came up and we weren't able to go, so today we went back! Went to the Fairway Market first and the cafe there had a nice view of the Statue of Liberty. The Pier 44 Waterfront Garden next to it was quite nice as well. Then drove a few blocks over to Valentino Park where there were concrete blocks at the shore with 'Red Hook' written on them. Pretty cool! And then pier stretched out over the water so we chilled on the bench there for a while until it got tooo hot. Drove alll the way to Downtown Brooklyn to get Van Leeuwen fancy schmancy ice cream. It was so good actually I would go back again! Walked around there but realized there's not much there, so went to Bldg 92 to learn about the history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Not my thing, it was cool but the history was kinda boring. Then dinner time! Instead of finding some restaurant nearby, we fulfilled our Chinatown cravings and drove to Vanessa's to get sesame pancake, dumplings, and hot & sour soup and brought it to Brooklyn Bridge Park to eat it. So Asian aha. The weather was so nice and sunny and everyone was playing at the park, and then 30 minutes later a dark cloud hovered over the park and it started to rain. Luckily we took cover in the car and waited it out. Got some photos by Jane's Carousel too! :D

Only slept for an hour this morning and woke up at 4am to get ready to go to the airport to head to Orlando! Sooo tired on the plane and it was so chaotic traveling with both nieces and grandparents, but we got to Florida just fine! Boarded Carnival at around 1pm and I was starvingggg. We got food and walked around, and then I believe we all took a short nap before dinner. Met our waiter at dinner, but I still Ronald from Royal Caribbean. :( No one can be better than Ronald. Starting then the unlimited feasting begins. So much food and I wanted to try all of them, but at least this time it's just eating as opposed to Spring Break's eating and drinking. Half the fatness! Hehe. After dinner we were going to take a nap and wake up to watch a show, but... we all passed up and I didn't even hear my alarm! Woke up at 3am and then went back to sleep till 7 in the morning. Got my 12 hours of sleep!
